PRESENT SIMPLE TENSE
Present simple tense is also known as present indefinite tense.
This tense is used :
1. For actions which happen regularly such as habits:
Examples:
A). I read newspaper everyday.
B). She goes to music class on every Saturday.
C). They play golf in the evening.
2. For Universal Truths
Examples:
A). The sun rises in the east.
B). Water boils at 100 degree centigrade.
C). Fish survive only in water.
3. Things that stay the same for a long time
Examples:
A). My teacher lives in Texas.
B). Thomas bats well.
4. To describe Schedules / Timetables etc.
Examples:
A). The train leaves at 11:15 in the morning.
B). English classes start at 2:00 in the afternoon.
TENSES
Understanding tenses is an important element in learning English Grammar. Tense defines or indicates the actual occurrence of the action whether the incident occurred in past, present or future.

PRESENT TENSE
